A judge has blocked Arizona from collecting $1.1 million from the city of Flagstaff to compensate for its minimum wage that is higher than the state's rate.
The state also reported that the number of virus-related hospitalizations increased slightly, with nearly 1,800 COVID-19 patients occupying hospital beds as of Monday.
Arizona currently is 11th highest among states in the number of COVID-19 deaths since the pandemic began, and sixth in the number of deaths per 100,000 population.
