- Tucson-based author Lydia Millet is known for writing more than a dozen critically-acclaimed novels, but her latest work We Loved it All is her first venture into non-fiction. Described as “A Memory of Life”, Mark talks with Millet about how she constructed such a wide-ranging exploration of science, history, animals, family, art, religion, and much more. Millet will be participating in an event called "Save Our Saguaros" Saturday August 3rd at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, that is located at 2021 N. Kinney Rd.
- Tony Paniagua interviews author, educator and storyteller Molly McCloy. Between her many local live appearances, and competing and winning at The Moth StorySLAMs, McCloy has established a unique style for telling sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, and always sincere stories from her eventful life.
VIEW LARGER Molly McCloy is a four-time Moth slam winner and Lambda Literary fellow. Her forthcoming memoir "Nine Grudges: The Spiteful Origins of the Happiest Dyke on Earth" won first place in the 2023 Book Pipeline Unpublished contest.

- And, local music artist Gabrielle Pietrangelo celebrates what life in the desert is like as we collectively wait for the monsoon to save us from the heat. Her new song “Summer Losers” was awarded 1st prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. You can find much more of her music here.
