One of Arizona’s U.S. Senators is among a delegation who traveled to Israel to meet with its leaders and demonstrate their support for the country. Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) spoke at the delegation and made it clear that he stands with Israel.

“I will speak to members of congress one by one if that's what it takes to get Israel the munitions that you need to defend yourself. And it’s not just about munitions. We’re sending other support as well. ” said Sen. Kelly, reinforcing his support.

Kelly said his wife, former U.S. House Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, is part of the Jewish community, so this hit particularly close to home for Senator Kelly. He is focused on speaking with members of the Arizona Jewish population and anyone else that has been affected by the cause.

Kelly and fellow Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), who was also present at the delegation, are members of the Senate Armed Services Committee. The Committee has encouraged the Department of Defense to send Israel additional Iron Dome Batteries along with other unoccupied American military equipment.
