AZ WEEK: Arizona Desert Wilderness Act at Milestone

A look at what it means from the perspective of federal agencies, non profit organizations

Arizona Week explores the 25th anniversary of the Arizona Desert Wilderness Act.

The state has 47 designated wilderness areas, totaling protected areas of more than a million acres.

Adam Milnor- U.S. Bureau of Land Management, explains how the agency manages the designated lands.

Mark Trautwein- former staff member in Rep. Morris Udall's office, explains how the act was passed in two phases in 1984 and 1990.
