The search is on for the University of Arizona's new head football coach.
Jedd Fisch signed a deal to become the new head coach for the University of Washington during the weekend. UA athletic director Dave Heeke said in a statement that the national search for Fisch's replacement was underway.
Heeke said he wouldn't make any further comments until the Wildcats' new coach is announced. ESPN reported Tuesday that San Jose State University head coach Brent Brennan had reached an agreement to take over the UA football program.
Fisch leaves Arizona with a record of 16 wins and 21 losses during his three years in Tucson. The football team rose as high as 11th in the national Associated Press Division 1 college football poll and beat Oklahoma University in last month's Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.
