Fisch had sudden success with the Wildcats last season, leading the team to a 10-3 record and a ranking of 11th in the Associated Press poll. Brennan says he's ready for the challenge of guiding the team to greater heights.
"I just asked them to give me a chance to earn their trust and treat each other with respect, and the trust will be earned over time," he said. "I promised I'd surround them with a great coaching staff and people that care about their development and who they are as men."
The 50-year-old Brennan becomes the 31st head football coach in the history of UA.
He has ties to the football program dating back to 2000, when he worked as a graduate assistant on coach Dick Tomey's staff in Tucson.
