It’s the sixth year for the Norton School of Ecology’s Dogs-N-Denim canine fashion show. Pets will be sporting student-designed outfits made from recyclable material. Fashion Industry Science professor Elizabeth Heuisler notes the action starts at 5 p. m. Thursday at the University of Arizona mall.
“We’ll have the UA band that will play for a little bit so that people will stop by and see it, and then we’ll have the dogs,” she sad.
Heuisler explains the canine fashion models might be finicky eaters but they don't shy away from the spotlight.
“The good thing about it is that we have yet to have a dog that gets on the runway and says ‘I just can’t wear this, it’s not my color'." she joked.
Visitors attending the show can also find out how service dogs help people cope with physical and mental disabilities, and learn how to train their own animal to become a service dog.
