He began with holiday greetings and a simple thank you for Arizona.
“Thank you for entrusting me with the privilege of being Governor of this great state for the past 8 years. It has been a blessing. Angela and I could not be more grateful,” he said.
Ducey spent much of the video going over what he sees as his accomplishments over his eight years in office.
He started with the economy and pointed to the fact that when he took office the state had a $1 billion deficit.
“Balanced the budget. Attained the largest “Rainy Day" fund in our state’s history. Led a coordinated state effort and historic investment in securing Arizona’s border. Today, we are America’s “gold standard” for educational Freedom, we are the new epicenter for semiconductors and high-tech manufacturing, we streamlined our government and we have the lowest flat tax in the nation,” he said.
He spoke more about securing the border but did not specifically mention his border wall build of shipping containers.
That wall is now the subject of a lawsuit filed by the federal government against Arizona.
Ducey’s last day in office is January 5th.
He did not say what his plans are after that.
