Center of Opportunity, housing in Pima County, and the reopening of the border

Lorraine Rivera hosts this edition of Arizona 360.

About 350 men, women and children seek housing at Gospel Rescue Mission on any given day. Arizona 360’s Lorraine Rivera visits the Center of Opportunity in Tucson to speak with families and guests at the facility.

Students enrolled in the Tucson Unified School District utilize the district’s resource center for school supplies and other support. Arizona 360 speaks with staff members at the center to learn more about the services they provide for local families.

Lorraine Rivera speaks with Arizona Public Media business and economics reporter Megan Myscofski for a closer look at housing in Pima County.

Vaccinated Mexican nationals are once again able to enter the United States. Following a 20 month closure, Tony Paniagua visits Nogales to learn more about what this change in policy means for people and businesses on the border.
