Some scientists think COVID-19, like the flu, will never be completely eradicated. But they also believe we may develop a biological response over time. University of Arizona evolutionary biologist Dave Enard is using genomic technology to study a COVID-like pandemic that struck East Asia 25,000 years ago and says we may be following the same path the survivors of that outbreak did.
Dave Enard spoke with Tim Swindle, director of the University of Arizona Space Institute.
