Karrin Taylor Robson announced she is running for governor in 2022. She is currently a member of the Arizona Board of Regents.

Governor Doug Ducey appointed Robson to the Board of Regents in 2017.

Robson said she is a conservative Republican.

“In just a few months, we’ve seen the direction that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want to take this country. And as Arizonans we need to fight back,” she said in a video announcing her candidacy.

Robson said she will spend the next few months traveling the state listening to people about “how we are going to fight the radical Biden-Harris agenda.”

Robson is the second Republican to announce a candidacy for governor in 2022. One Democrat is also in the race.
