A recent radio ad campaign urges listeners to call supes in support of the proposed mine.
The commercials, which aired on some Tucson radio stations, accused county supervisors of delaying the mine’s approval. But Supervisor Ray Carroll, whose district includes the proposed mine site, says they have no way of delaying the mine. The ads resulted in several hundred calls and emails to county officials, both in support and opposition to the mine. Carroll says Rosemont’s ads are a sign the company is frustrated at the lengthy review process.
