Secretary of State Showdown

Sec of State Ken Bennett, a Republican faces off with his challenger Chris Deschene, a Democrat in the battle for the second highest elected office in Arizona.

Because Arizona has no Lt. Governor, the Secretary of State is the second highest elected official in Arizona. Battling for the state's chief elections officer are incumbent Secretary of State, Republican Ken Bennett and Democrat Chris Deschene, who has served one term representing Apache County in the Arizona House of Representatives.
