Two people died Monday afternoon when a private plane crashed at the Tucson International Airport, officials said.

Details are few as officials wait for the National Transportation Safety Board investigation to begin.

Airport officials say the plane was a Beechcraft 300 – a twin-engine, multi-passenger craft - and it was “completely destroyed” in the crash.

Commercial flight operations are continuing as normal at the airport.
