New Arizona Lawmakers Learning the Ropes

Nearly a third of the state's legislators are new.

The November election brought plenty of new faces to the state Legislature.

Nearly a third of the members of the Legislature are in the state House and Senate for the first time.

This week, the new members will meet at the state capitol for three days of orientation, beginning Wednesday.

The seminars, organized by the clerk’s office, will cover everything from ethics to how to draft a bill.
