Your Vote 2016 Elections spot AZPM provides in-depth local and national coverage of the 2016 elections.

Election officials expect when all the votes are counted that turnout in Arizona will be about 75 percent for Tuesday’s general election.

That number is consistent with previous presidential election years in in the state. The record still belongs to 2008 election, at 77.69 percent.

One surprise was the Latino vote. Polls had suggested Latino voters would turn out in remarkable numbers, but the group didn't cast as many ballots as expected, said David Damore with Latino Decisions.

“You are still going to see once the dust settles that Latinos are voting under their population share,” said Damore.

He added that Nevada and Colorado were the only state with large Latino populations that voted for Democrats statewide.
