Contractor took responsibility for error, secretary of state's office said.

Around 68,000 new election information pamphlets are making their way to voters in Southern Arizona.

The secretary of state’s office said a contractor putting together the first set of pamphlets had missed some pages and mixed Spanish- and English-language pages.

It appears the errors are confined to Southern Arizona.

“We need concrete evidence that this problem just occurred where it is. It might be smaller than we think or slightly larger. But right now, the company has identified where the problem occurred,” said Matt Roberts of the secretary of state’s office.

Roberts said the printer took responsibility for the mistake and is covering the cost of the new copies.

The new pamphlets are expected to arrive in voters’ mailboxes before early ballots go out in two weeks.
