Primary Election Ballot Count Nearly Finished in Pima County

Around 2,000 votes remain, mostly those with signature or ID issues.

Officials with the Pima County Elections Department said as of midday Thursday only about two thousand ballots were left to be counted in this week’s primary election.

Most of those ballots are provisional ballots that must still be verified by the Pima County Recorder’s Office.

Approximately 175,000 ballots were cast in Pima County.
