Davis-Monthan and Tucson's Economy

The military base has been a major source of money in Tucson for nearly 75 years.

The Friday Business Report with AZPM's Zac Ziegler and Inside Tucson Business Editor David Rupkalvis focuses on one of Tucson's largest economic drivers, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

The base went active in 1941 on a plot of land donated by Charles Lindberg. The most recent numbers shows 7,904 active duty personnel stationed on the base, and 2,915 civilian employees. It also brings in $1.5 billion in economic impact to the local economy.
