Architect Josias Joesler designed some of Tucson’s most iconic buildings. This weekend, the community will have a rare opportunity to look inside some of those homes.
The tour, run by the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation, will showcase seven houses, all concentrated in the Old Catalina Foothills - which the Swiss-born architect developed alongside John and Helen Murphey.
"I think this tour is a real opportunity for people to come out and see really something that’s quintessentially Tucson," said Demion Clinco, who heads the foundation. "And experience something that’s very special to us and that’s really worth celebrating."
The homes will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. Shuttles will leave St. Philips in the Hills Church every 15 minutes and transport visitors between houses.
