One suspect is dead and several others on the run after a shooting in Tucson's south side involving the Border Patrol Friday morning.
An agency spokesman said none of the agents at the scene were injured.
A statement from the Border Patrol said agents recovered multiple weapons and continue to search for other suspects reportedly at the scene.
Other agents, as well as aircraft from U.S. Customs and Border Protections' Office of Air and Marine were sent out to secure the area and help find the other suspects, the statement said.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department responded to the shooting in Tucson's southwest. A sheriff's spokesman did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The FBI has taken the lead on the investigation, the statement said.
