Senate Concurrent Resolution 1013 - Lt Governor

Senate Concurrent Resolution 1013 is a constitutional amendment that would change the name of the Secretary of State to Lieutenant Governor. Arizona is one of only five states without a Lieutenant Governor. Currently, the Secretary of State is next in line for Governor. Arizona voters would have to approve the change.

On March 1, 2010 the full Senate approved SCR 1013 on a unanimous vote.

On April 21, 2010 the full House approved SCR 1013 on a 51-9 vote.
