Barber Maintains Small Lead

709 votes separate him and McSally in Congressional District 2

Democrat Ron Barber led Republican Martha McSally by 709 votes in the latest ballot posting in Arizona's Congressional District 2 race Wednesday night.

Pima and Cochise counties, which contain the district, were still counting early ballots and verifying provisional ballots on Wednesday. They have until the end of the day Friday to complete the count.

Results in the race have see-sawed since election night. Neither McSally nor Barber has declared victory or conceded. Both have said they will wait for further results.
