Republican state senators say job creation is critical for Arizona's economic recovery

Republican State Senators Al Melvin and Frank Antenori both represent Southern Arizona in the State Legislature. In January, they and other lawmakers from around our state will head back to the Capitol to face more budget deficits and try to come up with a fix.

There are some small signs that state revenues are on the rise, but the figures still hover far below what they were a few years ago. In this interview with Arizona Illustrated host Kimberly Craft, both senators stressed the need for more job creation as the main path back to recovery.
