Program takes old Christmas trees and turns them into free mulch.

Christmas Tree

The holidays are ending, and it will soon be time to find a place for this year's Christmas tree.

The City of Tucson turns old trees into mulch that it will give away to the public.

The annual Treecycle program starts December 26 and runs through January 15.

There are eight drop-off sites. Sites with restricted hours are noted.

  • Oro Valley Naranja Park, 810 W. Naranja Dr., (Only open through January 7, 2018)

  • Tank's Roll-offs & Recycling, 7301 E Speedway Monday-Friday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  • Golf Links Sports Park, 2400 S. Craycroft Rd. 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Tucson Rodeo Grounds, 4823 S. 6th Ave. ( drop-off is east of Rodeo Grounds, on 3rd Ave.)
