AZ WEEK: Third Medical School Coming to Arizona

Mayo Clinic, ASU Team up for 2017 opening; need great for training more physicians.

Arizona Week Friday explores plans by the Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University to partner and create a medical school in the Phoenix area, the state's third medical training facility. The University of Arizona operates medical schools in Tucson and Phoenix.

Also on Arizona Week, a discussion of this week's news that Arizona has lost another immigration law case on appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

  • Wyatt Decker, a physician and CEO of Mayo Clinic Arizona, and Michael Crow, president of ASU, in a segment from sister station KAET-TV in Phoenix.

  • Francisco Moreno, a physician and vice president of the UA Health Science Center.

  • Gautam Gowrisankaran, an economist with the UA Eller College of Management.

  • Lynn Marcus, co-director of the Immigration Law Clinic at the UA Rogers College of Law.
