Price Range for Obamacare Health Insurance in AZ Released

Overall cheapest 'bronze' plan costs $214 a month, while 'silver' plans will be between $252 and $248.

Arizonans looking to buy health insurance on federally run marketplaces opening Oct. 1 now have an idea what a plan will cost.

The two lowest cost "silver" plans that pay for 70 percent of medical costs under the Affordable Care Act cost $248 and $252 per month before tax credits. The cheapest bronze plan that covers 60 percent of costs is $214 a month.

The premiums and plan choices for Arizona were released by the Obama Administration late Tuesday. A list of insurers and a breakdown of premium levels by age wasn't included.

The agency did break out costs for a 27-year-old person. The lowest-priced bronze plan costs $141, silver $164 and a gold plan that pays 80 percent of costs will be priced at $187 a month.
