Passionate Barista Spreads the Gospel of Good Coffee

In one Tucson coffee shop, an unusual coffee expert pursues the perfect cup of joe.

Exo Roast Co. is creating a buzz among those who appreciate slow-brewed coffee and coffee beans that are sourced in a socially responsible way.

The shop roasts beans to enhance the natural qualities of each particular variety and develops brewing formulas to fine-tune the taste.

For Noel Trapp, official director of education at Exo Roast Co., pursuing the perfect cup of coffee is not just a business, but a lifelong passion. The expert barista lives with an autism spectrum disorder that has made learning about coffee a focus--and a source of fulfillment--in his life.
