New data from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement show arrests and deportations of undocumented people were up in the fiscal year which ended in September.

Shortly after taking office, President Donald Trump expanded ICE’s power to arrest and deport undocumented people.

Data compiled by ICE shows the agency made about 159,000 arrests in Fiscal Year 2018, which is a roughly 11 percent increase from the previous year. DUIs, drugs and traffic offenses topped the list of crimes for which ICE arrested people.

Deportations also rose in the last fiscal year. Data show ICE deported about 95,000 people, which is a roughly 17 percent increase from the year before.
