Questions

Have you always been a member of your party? If not, when did you join your current party?

Sanda Clark
Sandra Clark (D)NO. I joined when Obama was running. Voted as a Democrat in 2008.

Where were you born? If you were not born in Arizona, how long have you lived here?

Sanda Clark
Sandra Clark (D)Bucharest, Romania. 20 years (in Arizona).

What city/community do you live in currently?

Sanda Clark
Sandra Clark (D)Green Valley

Why are you running for office?

Sanda Clark
Sandra Clark (D)I have never anticipated running for office. For the past 20+years I have lived in AZ, first in Tucson, and now in Green Valley, serving as an elected PC in both cities. I have worked and supported Bernie Sanders' campaigns, but that was until now the totality of my political life.

Because LD-19 was created to elect Republicans, with a 22% deficit, no Democrat was willing to run. That was simply unacceptable to me. When Ukrainians, young and old are willing to die to protect freedom, staying home at this moment is wrong. Handing over seats without a fight is unacceptable.

It is with a strong determination that I decided to run to fight to ""keep our Republic"", while not perfect, there is no better place on Earth. This country has given me the life my parents never had. It is time for me to give back.

What are you top 3 priorities if elected?

Sanda Clark
Sandra Clark (D)Protecting our Democracy
Protecting our water
Public Education

What sets you apart from other candidates in your party's primary?

Sanda Clark
Sandra Clark (D)I do not have a primary. But what sets me apart from other candidates is my history. I grew up and fled authoritarianism. I know how that feels, We are so close to losing our democracy. Defending and keeping our Republic is a hill I am willing to die on.

What is the biggest problem with the way the office you are seeking is working and how do you solve it?

Sanda Clark
Sandra Clark (D)Today many in office are serving the interests of those that helped them get there. Their loyalties or to their "investors". Few politicians today are willing to put the country before all else. At this moment in our history, we need politicians that are willing to work for their constituents, deliver for them, and put the future of our country before anything else. I am one such candidate. I am running clean and I am definitely an outsider accountable ONLY to the citizens living in LD19.
